The story of a photographer

Sometimes, dreams become passions. They dwell within us, sometimes for years, but may suddenly ignite from a single spark and enter reality. For me, photography is one of those passions. Not only do I love what I do, but I also capture a couple’s love in return. 

I learned and studied film photography all through grade-school, and even practiced developing my own prints in a darkroom (I love film!). My mother, an artist specializing in graphite portraits and acrylic paintings, introduced me to photography at 15 when she brought me along as a second shooter for weddings. Though I drifted from photography for a while, my husband reignited my passion by gifting me my first Nikon DSLR in 2015. With his support, I officially launched my business in 2017. He's become my trusted second shooter, learning manual mode and composition along the way. I'm proud to have him by my side, seamlessly blending in with the groom and groomsmen.



My friends would describe me as animated, congenial, approachable, but you can decide that for yourself when we meet.

My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. I focus on non-models and place regular people in exaggerated situations that highlight an aspect of who they are. I look for a sense of defiance and fortitude in my work. I was transparent long before it was hip to be so, and I believe deeply in teamwork, community, and collaboration.
